The Colorado Center For Pediatric Learning and Development's founder, Julie Tourigny OTR, specializes in sensory integration and has extensive experience evaluating and treating children with sensory processing deficits and developmental disabilities. Her guiding philosophy is that children with disabilities are unique and, accordingly, they require unique, individualized treatment and understanding from both a sensory and a motor perspective. This philosophy underpins all of our activities and programs at CCPLD.
CCPLD's treatment and educational services are provided by occupational and physical therapists with extensive experience in pediatrics, including specializations in sensory integration and neurodevelopmental treatment.
We specialize in treating children with sensory processing difficulties and developmental disabilities. Our therapists are specialists in pediatrics, sensory integration and neurodevelopmental treatment.
We recognize each child's strengths and use these to formulate individualized therapy plans that address the areas where the child is struggling.
We feature a unique and integrated approach to the treatment of pediatric disorders. Our philosophy is founded on the following two principles:
- A child's physical and sensory systems are mutually interdependent
- Direct treatment AND parent/professional education are essential to ensure that every child reaches her greatest potential: socially, emotionally and motorically
