We provide early childhood services for children birth through three years of age who have: • Fine motor delays • Feeding disorders or difficulties • Sensory integration or sensory processing difficulties or the following disabilities: • Attention deficit disorder • Autism Spectrum Disorder • Cerebral Palsy • Chromosomal anomalies and syndromes • Developmental Delays • Down's syndrome • Learning Disabilities • Movement disorders • Premature birth • Sensory integration disorder • Sensory processing difficulties • Spina Bifida We provide clinic-based services at our sensory-motor gym for children birth through 18 years of age who have sensory and/or motor needs including children with autism spectrum disorders, sensory integration dysfunction, sensory processing difficulties, cerebral palsy, and Down’s syndrome. This intervention usually occurs 1-2 times per week for one hour. We also provide consultation to parents and teachers to improve classroom design, group dynamics, attention span of children during group and individual time and during transitions. Our Clinicians Julie Tourigny, MS, OTR - Founder and director of the Colorado Center For Pediatric Learning and Development. Ms. Tourigny, has over a decade of extensive experience evaluating and treating children with sensory processing deficits, either in isolation or in conjunction with other diagnoses, including attention deficit disorder (ADD), attention deficit disorder with hyperactivity (ADHD), autism spectrum disorders (ASD), Down's syndrome, and premature birth. Ms. Tourigny has her Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University in occupational therapy. She has a Master of Science degree from Boston University in therapeutic studies and she has a Masters of Business Administration from Daniels College of Business at The University of Denver. She received her certification to interpret and administer the Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) in April 2000 from Sensory Integration International. She is a nationally known instructor on sensory integration intervention techniques and has developed numerous lectures on sensory integration. Yvonne Bueno, OTR Physical Therapy We offer home, community and clinic-based physical therapy intervention for children birth through 18 years of age. We provide early childhood services for children birth through three years of age who have • Gross motor delays • Orthopedic needs • Equipment needs or the following disabilities: • Cerebral Palsy • Chromosomal anomalies and syndromes • Developmental Delays • Down's syndrome • Movement disorders • Plagiocephaly • Premature birth • Spina Bifida • Torticollis This intervention most often occurs in the child's home or daycare environment on a month, weekly or bi-weekly basis. We also provide clinic-based physical therapy services at our sensory-motor gym for children birth through 18 years of age who have sensory and/or motor needs including children with orthopedic needs, equipment needs or any of the disabilities listed above.
