ABOUT CCPLD
CCPLD: Specialists in Pediatric Therapy

Founded in 2003, we are a small private practice serving children in the Denver Metro Area and Steamboat Springs, Colorado. We offer comprehensive assessments, consultations to teachers, schools and classrooms, 1:1 therapy, group therapy and work as a team to meet the unique needs of children birth-10 years of age with a variety of diagnoses, developmental delays and symptoms. Our staff include: expert pediatric speech therapists and occupational therapists.

Our mission and goal is to provided family-centered care in the environment best suited to meet the unique needs of each child. We are a small practice, with approximately 100 active clients on our caseload. Because we are small, we are able to provide very comprehensive, individualized, high-quality care for infants and children.

Sensory Processing
We help children understand and respond to sensory input—such as sounds, textures, and movement—in a way that feels calm and organized. By using sensory diets, heavy work activities, swinging, or weighted tools, OT can reduce overwhelm, support regulation, and decrease meltdowns.
Emotional Regulation
OT supports children in recognizing, expressing, and managing their emotions. Therapists help build a personalized “toolbox” of coping strategies, including deep breathing, movement, yoga, visual supports, and transition strategies, empowering children to handle frustration and change more effectively.
Executive Functioning
Executive function skills—like planning, organization, attention, and self-control—are essential for success at home and school. OT breaks tasks into manageable steps, uses visual supports, and creates structured, low-distraction environments to improve follow-through and independence.
A Whole-Child Approach
Sensory, emotional, and cognitive systems are deeply connected. At CCPLD, our occupational therapists use a whole-child approach by addressing sensory needs first, supporting emotional regulation, and strengthening executive functioning skills. When these systems work together, children are better equipped to learn, play, and thrive in their daily lives.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy is a specialized service designed to support children from birth through adolescence as they develop communication, feeding, and social skills. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) work with children to strengthen both verbal and non-verbal communication while addressing underlying developmental, neurological, or physical challenges. Therapy is individualized, play-based, and tailored to each child’s unique needs.
